Description

The Math.log1p() method returns the natural logarithm (base E) of 1 + a number.



Syntax

Math.log1p( x)

Parameters

Parameter Description
x Required.
A number.

Return Value

Type Description
Number The natural logarithm (base E) of 1 + the number.
NaN if the number is less than -1.
-Infinity if the number is -1.


Browser Support

Math.log1p() is an ECMAScript6 (ES6) feature.

ES6 (JavaScript 2015) is supported in all modern browsers:

Math.log1p() is not supported in Internet Explorer 11 (or earlier).
