Return the MySQL server version as an integer:
<?php
$mysqli = new mysqli("localhost","my_user","my_password","my_db");
if ($mysqli -> connect_errno) {
echo "Failed to connect to MySQL: " . $mysqli -> connect_error;
exit();
}
echo $mysqli -> server_version;
$mysqli -> close();
?>
Look at example of procedural style at the bottom.
The server_version / mysqli_get_server_version() function returns the MySQL server version as an integer.
The server version is returned in the following format: main_version*10000 + minor_version*100 + sub_version. So, version 6.3.0 is returned as 60300.
$mysqli -> server_version
