MS Access Sum() Function

Return the sum of the "Quantity" field in the "OrderDetails" table:

SELECT Sum(Quantity) AS TotalItemsOrdered FROM OrderDetails;

Definition and Usage

The Sum() function calculates the sum of a set of values.

Note: NULL values are ignored.
