Example

When printing, display at least 4 lines at the bottom and 2 lines at the top of each page:

  orphans: 4;
  widows: 2;
}

Definition and Usage

The widows property specifies the minimum number of lines that must be left at the top of a page or column.

Tip: Also look at the orphans property.

Default value: 2

The numbers in the table specify the first browser version that fully supports the property.
